Blackburn chairman John Williams has set his side a target of nine wins to save their season.
Rovers are second from bottom in the Premier League after a run of five straight defeats with manager Paul Ince coming under increasing pressure.
"Nine wins is a priority and we need to get them as soon as we can," Williams told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
"We have 22 games left and the sooner we start picking up the wins the better the situation will look."
Ince has endured a tough start to his first season in the top flight, picking up just three wins from 16 Premier League games and there is mounting speculation over his future at Ewood Park.

The former Macclesfield and MK Dons boss was encouraged by his side's improved display in the battling 3-1 defeat at home to Liverpool on Saturday and has asked for patience as he looks to build on the success he achieved lower down the football pyramid.
However, a sixth successive defeat at Wigan on Saturday will further increase the pressure on Ince and Williams admits that they need to start picking up three points as quickly as possible.
"The longer we go without a win the more difficult it becomes for us to get those wins we need," he added.
"The players and the manager believe our fortunes will change once we get that first win, but we all know we need that win quickly."
"At the moment, nine wins from 22 looks more than possible. But if we go a few more games still needing nine wins it looks more and more difficult doesn't it?"
