Nottingham Forest manager Colin Calderwood has revealed the club are in contract talks with striker Nathan Tyson.
Tyson's current deal is due to expire at the end of the season and he snubbed an offer of fresh terms from Forest in the summer.
But Calderwood is keen to tie down the forward, who has scored two Championship goals so far this term.
"We are in the process of looking at that [Tyson's contact], we have been for a little while," he told the Nottingham Evening Post.
"He will be able to talk to other clubs from January, but we want to make him feel like this is the right place for him."
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Lee Camp has refused to rule out a permanent move to Forest when his loan spell from Queens Park Rangers concludes next month.
"It's something that I think both parties are looking at, but how far we go is hard to say," Camp told Forest's official website.
